Peddler's Village Auction
has succeeded for 27 years in doing something most other
businesses find unattainable; they please the buyer
as well as the seller. After a start in 1972 by Veteran
Auctioneer Gerald Lambright, the business soon outgrew
its facilities at Denver Street in Goshen, necessitating
a move to a larger location at Peddler's Village in
1976. Leroy Graber a former employee of Gerald Lambright
& Associates, took over the reins after Lambrights
death in 1981. The business continued to grow and eventually
outgrew the location at the Village and in 1988 Leroy
Graber had a 13,000 sq ft building built on 10 acres
2 blocks west of the Village at 21849 CR 28. The building
shields buyers from inclement weather, within it a large
stage helps the Auction better display furniture, antiques,
collectibles, and more. In addition overhead doors allow
automobiles, boats, and trucks to be driven into the
building where they are sold.
Another factor contributing
to the businesses' continuing success can be attributed
to the time the auction is held. The Auction is held
every Thursday at 12:00 PM (usually with 3 rings going),
instead of Saturdays, when there may be 12 to 15 other
Auctions in the area. By having it on Thursdays we draw
a "very large" crowd, usually registering
from 400 to 700 buyers, which helps to get top dollar
for the merchandise. Among the buyers who regularly
attend the Auction are collectors and Dealers. Peddler's
Village Auction has had the distinction of establishing
the only known guarantee for items purchased at Auction,
an honor that helps Peddler's rise above its competition.
The guarantee is simple; If the appliance does not work,
or stops working within 3 days, the buyer gets his money
back, but the integrity of the Auction and its owner
goes beyond the guarantee. Peddler's Village Auction
was founded on honest business practices. For the owner,
it's a way of life and it benefits buyers and sellers.
Peddler's Village Auction
is all computerized with itemized lists of consignments
& fast and easy check out and registering. Peddler's
Village Auction is also equipped to transport prospective
sellers merchandise to its location.
Peddler's Village Auction also conducts sales at private
homes, businesses , and industrial facilities.
Peddler's Village Auction also does Auctions for Attorneys,
Trust Officers, Businesses, and Private Parties.
Peddler's Village Auction

a complete line of new furniture which is sold daily
and at the Auction, or can be ordered directly from
their catalogs. They offer 3 piece livingroom suites,
motion furniture, oak tables and chairs, oak bedroom

can save the consumer hundreds of dollars.
